Well, it's been nearly two weeks since Jeff Merkley insulted KPOJ's listeners, a debate audience in Eugene and the rest of Oregon's Democratic voters by lying to them about his U.S. Senate opponent Steve Novick.
Although the carefully crafted fabrications seem to roll off Merkley's tongue with the ease we're used to seeing from George W. Bush -- a man whose "courage" Merkley voted to acknowledge after the invasion of Iraq -- I'm still holding out hope that he'll buck up and apologize to the voters he's attempting to mislead.
Despite Merkley's latest disingenuous messaging campaign that tries to tarnish Novick as an unfaithful progressive, primary voters are painfully aware that we need more honest, solid Democrats like Steve Novick in Washington.
To that end, this long distance dedication may help Merkley see the error of his ways and prompt him to do the right thing:
